Our story!

For several years now I have had the urge to travel which has been a dream of mine before marriage and children. My husband was never keen on the idea until one afternoon in 2016 he said, "let's do this!" The next day I began to sell, donate and give away items from my home. He was a bit shocked when he got home from work. I immediately called a realtor and our home sold within 24 hours for more than we were asking. I had sold, donated and given away EVERYTHING so that the day we moved we didn't even need a truck. We were able to drive away with everything we had left in both our vehicles. We moved to a smaller place directly across from the beach to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets for the following year before taking off to travel full time!

~F D Roosevelt State Park, Vlog 9 of our "traveling adventures!"

F. D. Roosevelt State Park is located near Pine Mountain. This park is named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt because he visited this area for its warm springs and built a vacation home known as Little White House. Camping in these woods and being surrounded by trees was very peaceful & rejuvenating.

Pine Mountain was such a gem for us to find as we explored Georgia. This little town is situated near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, about 60 miles southwest of Atlanta. It is most definitely a peaceful getaway!

Our favorite place to eat was Carriage & Horses (website: https://www.cometodagher.com/) The owner Dagher was such a delight and made us feel like family. He went above and beyond to be sure we had the best dining experience. The food was such a delight and we continue to visit each time we are in the area.

Campground Details:
-140 campsites with electric hookups (some are wheelchair accessible)

Retirement has finally given us the gift of time, and what a blessing it is! We’re relishing the opportunity to reconnect with dear friends we haven’t seen in far too long. Their kids, now grown with little ones of their own, stopped by for a visit.

On Sunday, we joined our friends at church, where we were warmly embraced by even more familiar faces from our Ocala community. It was a joyous reunion, filled with laughter, stories, and a deep sense of connection. We’re savoring every moment of this sweet season of life!

We visited Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens. This 17-acre wonderland is a breathtaking oasis awaiting your arrival! Imagine strolling through a tranquil paradise surrounded by towering trees, lush greenery. Sparkling ponds and winding waterfalls.

Definitely a nature lover’s dream come true! Be sure to bring a picnic lunch and water with you when you visit this beautiful place.
