Our story!

For several years now I have had the urge to travel which has been a dream of mine before marriage and children. My husband was never keen on the idea until one afternoon in 2016 he said, "let's do this!" The next day I began to sell, donate and give away items from my home. He was a bit shocked when he got home from work. I immediately called a realtor and our home sold within 24 hours for more than we were asking. I had sold, donated and given away EVERYTHING so that the day we moved we didn't even need a truck. We were able to drive away with everything we had left in both our vehicles. We moved to a smaller place directly across from the beach to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets for the following year before taking off to travel full time!

How I Pack for Europe 🌍 - Vlog 55

In this video I explain what I pack in my carry-on bag and backpack. We never check in luggage on the plane. It’s amazing how we can pack only 17 pounds of clothing for a 3 month trip. It makes traveling easier to do and less headaches at the airport. Keep in mind that most hotels in Europe have a clothesline in the bathroom to hang up your hand washed clothes. Rented apartments or homes may have a washer and definitely have clothesline’s outside to use. Dryers are rare.

I also carry a small purse that folds up inside my backpack to include my wallet, ticket, passport, vaccination card or anything else needed for my trip! I take only 1 pair of good walking shoes or boots depending on the time of year. If I need another then I will purchase in Europe because their prices are good on my favorite shoes, Sketchers. I don’t pack coats but instead wear on the plane for comfort and warmth.
