I travel to Texas to visit my little brother, his wife, their children and grandchildren. We do family stuff and just enjoy being together. God has given us the gift of a large family so we never want to take that for granted. We don’t ever want to miss the opportunity of making a memory with them. Life is short and nothing matters more to us than family!
How wonderful it is for us to be able to travel around the country and Europe to visit with as many family members as possible. It is not the only reason but definitely my favorite reason. I also love getting to see different areas of the country, the landscapes and the culture of each state. Yes, each state definitely has it’s own culture. There is so much to learn about our great country and it’s history. We are not the kind of travelers that make it our mission to exhaust every opportunity to learn everything about every area we travel. Instead, we enjoy and live normally but do include some exploration of the places we travel because we are always planning to return again.
This is an area of Texas that we have been many times before but on this visit we took time to see a small town we have traveled through often. Jimmy loves to take me on a date and this was a fun date! It’s similar to what he has done when we lived in South Florida by taking me to all the neighboring towns to see and enjoy new restaurants and surroundings. You don’t have to travel like us to see new things just begin to venture out of your own area and enjoy what is nearby. It’s a favorite for us both!
